The use of blood during the passover was essential to the
salvation of the hebrews. Then the atonement sacrifices. Likewise the blood of Christ
is essential to our salvation.

- Hebrews 9 - Blood became the cleansing power of old and fulfilled by Christ.
- The Application required action
The blood of the passover lamb wasn't just shed, it was applied
to the door of those who were to be saved. Likewise Christ's sacrifice does us little good if we
don't apply the sacrifice to our lives.

Not only did the blood save the hebrews, but it was visually
apparent the next day as to what households were saved. For the blood was apparent on the doors.
Just as Christ's blood should be visually apparent on everything we do in our lives.
