Confession is also required for our Salvation. It is open acceptance that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only hope of eternal life in heaven. Matthew 10:32 ? Jesus expects us to accept him openly before men. Acts 8:35-37 ? The conversion of the eunuch by Phillip is a great example of how confession is made. When Phillip says that he can start a life with Christ if he believes, the eunuch made the confession from his mouth, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." Romans 10:9-10 ? Pretty much a plain spoken as it can be. "With the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Philippians 2:10-11 ? God's original intent was that every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. 1 John 4:15 ? Whoever confesses has God "in him". Which is the embodiment of the Holy Spirit.
